MUSIC UNITES AWARDED THE PHYLLIS HYMAN PHAT FRIEND AWARD

On November 15, 2010 Music Unites was awarded The Phyllis Hyman Phat Friend Award, named after the All Stars Project’s first spokesperson. Each year young people across the city take part in All Stars Project youth events and nominate adults who have been active in their community. After the nominees are interviewed by the Phat Friend Youth selection committee, awards are granted to those who have contributed to a great social change movement among youth and their communities.
