I chatted with MU founder Michelle Edgar, who told me that the choir’s colorful T-shirts, which picture the band’s bullseye logo and a pinball machine in honor of the beloved Tommy track “Pinball Wizard,” were designed by none other than David Arquette, who runs the clothing line Propr with Ben Harper. “It’s important to remember the legends, whether it’s classical or rock, because that’s where it all began,” Edgar said of her musically minded organization’s participation in the showcase. “It’s amazing to see artists of all different backgrounds coming together tonight. It doesn’t matter how old or how young you are, if you’re a breaking artist or a legend like Patti; the message really resonates with everyone.”
