Melanie Fiona Gives a Private Show Before Touring With Alicia Keys

But last night, she performed at a more intimate affair: a private acoustic concert to benefit nonprofit Music Unites (Fiona serves as ambassador for the organization’s newly launched Empowering Women Through Music initiative). Guests packed into the penthouse of the Cooper Square Hotel to watch Fiona—sporting an eye-catching bracelet she designed with Jules Smith’s Gina Nigrelli for the occasion—play stripped-down versions of “Give It To Me Right,” “It Kills Me,” and forthcoming single “Ay Yo.”
