An all-girl/women mentorship day at the Intrepid Museum. This Be the Boss: Mentorship day at the Intrepid welcomes teen girls (13–18 years old) who are interested in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) to participate in a day of mentorship, empowerment and leadership. Invited women will speak and establish connections with women in STEAM in fields, from the corporate world to academia. MU program – Women’s Academy of Excellence will be featured, and the MU Pepsi 153 girls choir will be opening)

A one-day press event and fundraiser taking place on Friday, March 6 from 4–10 p.m. SPiN is inviting people to unplug for half an hour by “checking” their phones at SPiN’s Smartphone Concierge. In return, for every person that checks their smartphone, SPiN will give 30 minutes of free ping-pong table time as well as make a donation to Music Unites. SPiN is also going to challenge some celebrities via social media to come “unplug”, and will up the donation ante if any of these celebs do come by SPiN that day, with proceeds going toward Music Unites.

Our WAE program will be hosting a Music-Versity Career Day with panelists Deirdre Clute from Pepsi, Monica Alvarez from Pulse Creative, an ASCAP panelist, and Spotify panelist. This is the 9th annual career day held at the school that brings in female presenters to discuss their educational paths and professional passions.

MU’s PEPSI PS153 Choir and MU’s Youth Choir will both be performing at the famous Apollo this Thursday, 2/12/15! The music will start around 7PM, with our MU programs performing around 9:30PM! Don’t miss out!
